We had a real fun Table Topics last Monday night at Sunshine Toastmasters. I got the idea from Waterfront Toastmasters who in turn got it from another Club. Table topics participants were invited to create a tall tale from 4 words they drew out of 4 different envelopes. Each of the 4 envelopes held a different catagory: 1. a mode of transportation 2. a location somewhere in the world 3. an item (law mower, toothbrush, vanity etc.) 4. a magic word (hocus pocus, alla peanut butter sandwiches etc). Each envelope needs to hold as many options as you will have table topics participants. Each person had to create a story on the spot about that included the 4 components. Give it a try! It's fun!

HSBC Managing for Toast recently did a surprise show and tell in which the table topics master had a bag full of little objects or gadgets for people to draw from.
