Did you know, all totalled, there are only 21 different actitivities to do in the Competent Leader manual? It is a wonderful guide to help you be more focused while taking on various roles. The CL manual puts attention where attention is often need. It's a great leadership building tool as well. And the cherry on the top is the Club achieves points towards their Distinguished Club Program when Club members complete their manual. Win/Win. There is a great matrix to help track your progress on Page 76 of the manual. Mike Robinson has also created a matrix that is on the District's website under resources. If you can't find it let me know and I will send you a copy.

I made the mistake of not having followed this manual sooner. Now I have to take an extra six months to complete this when I would have been long done. Mose of the projects in this manual do not need additional work--fulfilling different roles during regular Toastmasters meetings satisfies most of the Competent Leader projects.
